Before its commercial release, Flos is working exclusively with Moss to release a limited run of handmade prototypes of the latest Philippe Starck lust object, the Light Photon. The Light Photon lamp ($5,900) is constructed from 316L stainless steel, the same high-grade steel used in many luxury watches, and utilizes OLED (organic light emitting diode), an ultra-efficient and eco-friendly lighting source, which is a technology that has recently found its way into cell phones where its used to backlight the screen. Baxter Finley, Barber & Shop is the latest project from Baxter of California President, J.P. Mastey, who named the shop after the brand's original founder. The shop is dressed up to the nines with classic details like the beautifully restored Koken White King chairs from the 1900s, reclaimed Douglas Fir flooring, and oak/marble back bars. As for the services, you're not going to find massages or aromatherapy treatments here, instead they've kept their focus simple with just a choice of a proper haircut and shave and a commitment to quality service and skilled barbering techniques.
